The yearly average rainfall for N.S.W. has been 1200mm for the last 150 years. This year they reached that milestone in just over 3 months…..and the frogs are loving it. People think it is a frog plague, but the pundits tell us it is perfectly natural for a shit-load of rain to bring on a shit-load of frogs.

In fact, back in the olden days, when I was a kid, there were at least 10 times more animals around. Galas flocked in their thousands, emus in their hundreds. The towns were isolated by large swathes of bush. Now the small pockets of bush are isolated by large swathes of paddocks and houses.

Let’s bring back the goannas, the wombats, the quolls, the numbats, bandicoots and betongs, and the emus. Let’s restore the earth to its original state of grace. To do this we must abandon most of our frivolous and destructive pursuits, like the pursuit of wealth. We just haven’t enough hours in the day to go to the office and  repair this wounded country.

We must put society on a war footing!

First we stop using money. Money corrupts everything. Everyone can then focus on the necessities of life: food, shelter, clothes and medicine. Once that is sorted, we can go out and fix the place up. It is desperately in need of a make-over. When we have finished and nature is flourishing once again, we can return to our inane and wasteful distractions.
