12 UNWRA workers have been accused taking part in the October 7 attack. There’s 13,000 UNWRA workers in Gaza. They run the place: Schools, hospitals, food, water, everything! They run 150 shelters for the homeless. These shelters are bombed on a daily basis, even though they’re crammed with displaced people the regime has told to go there for safety. The regime drops  900kg bombs on UNRWA shelters if they suspect just one Hamas member may be sheltering there along with everyone else. Their motto, ‘Kill ‘em all, let God sort ‘em out.”

UNWRA has run Gaza since the Nakbah.*²  They’re  forced to look after all Gaza’s needs because Israel refuses to help. Quite the contrary, for some 80 years Israel has done everything it can to make life as miserable as possible for the  Palestinian people, in the futile hope they will all go away. Obviously, this is’nt happening, so the regime has resorted to ever more extreme measures to get rid of them: Cutting off water, food, electricity, medicine, health care and communications. Systematically destroying all infrastructure, including the sewage system, in the hope a pandemic will do their grizzly work for them.*³   Demolishing their homes and killing and maiming as many of them as they possibly can. (4% of the population so far, and no end in sight) Israel destroys, UNWRA repairs, it was ever thus.  Clearly the Israeli regime would gleefully exterminate every single man woman and child in Gaza if they could.*⁴

But despite this existential  threat, the Palestinian people could not leave even if they wanted to. No neighbour would take them in, for the very good reason that Israel would never let them back. They would lose their home forever. To assist Netanyahu’s regime in their sinister plans, would be aiding and abetting genocide. No nation wants that stain on their conscience.

Giora Eiland, adviser to the defence minister, demanded other countries be prevented from offering assistance, demanding that Gaza’s people be left with “two choices: to stay and to starve, or to leave”. He advocated Gaza being made “a place that is temporarily or permanently impossible to live in”, declared women were not innocent because “they are all the mothers, sisters or wives of Hamas murderers”, and advocated “humanitarian disaster” and “severe epidemics” to achieve war aims: the finance minister Bezalel Smotrich tweeted he agreed “with every word”.

         Benjamin Netanyahu, the deranged psychopath that rules presently rules the Israeli regime with an iron fist, repeatedly uses a quote from the old testament when rallying troops before battle in Gaza, “Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass.”
