When someone goes crazy and shoots up a bunch of people,(a popular pastime in the U.S. apparently) we call it a psychotic episode. When an entire regime goes crazy and starts killing people en mass, we call it ‘collectie psychosis,’ or ‘mass hysteria.’ When that mass hysteria targets one particular ethnic group, we also call it genocide.

This phenomena takes place on a far too regular basis: The Armenians in Turkey, the Jews in Germany, the Tutsis in Rwanda, the Muslims in Bosnia, The Rohinga in Burma, everybody in Cambodia.

Every night on the TV, in real time, on prime time, we are witnessing the latest iteration of this ugly phenomena, an entire regime has become detached from reason and succumbed to blood lust on a vast scale,  launching a killing spree that has the whole world reeling. We watch in horror as 2.5 million souls are denied the basic necessities of life: food, water, shelter, medicine. They are herded together like cattle, then bombed relentlessly with 2,000 pound bombs, over and over again, day after day, week after week, month after month, with no end in sight. Amongst the hysteria spewing from the Cult of Death we keep hearing words like ‘eliminate,’ eradicate’, ‘exterminate’. Words that send a shiver down the spine…and there is nothing we an do about it, because the earth is ruled with an iron fist by one man, the Commander in Chief of the most awesome military machine the world has ever known. That man need only lift his little finger and the suffering would stop, but he does not see suffering, he sees only U.S. interests. When he raises his little pinky, it is to send another ship load of awesome weaponry to feed the frenzy.

Ever since that mother of all genocides, committed against the Jews some 80 years ago, many of us around the world have asked ourselves, ‘how could the good people of Germany have allowed allowed that happen?

Well now we know, because we are allowing this genocide to happen, and isn’t it ironic when you think of who the perpetrators are?
