ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!

The Gaza strip is a mere 360 km² , about 40kms x 10kms.

In 2022 the Gaza Strip population was estimated at 2,375,000. Making a population density of 6600people per km². Since October 2023, 85% of the Gaza strip has been declared off limits. The entire population has been herded at gunpoint into an area of just 55 km².

Making a population density of 40,000 people per km², That is 5mx5m per person, while the al-Mawasi area exceeds 47,000 people per km², a density unmatched in anywhere else on Earth! Palestinians in Gaza now have less space than prisoners in Guantanamo Bay! The I.D.F. continue to bomb these areas relentlessly and indiscriminately.

The only conclusion to be drawn is that the population has been squashed together in order to kill more people with each bomb. It may sound cynical, but is this nothing more than a cost saving exercise, akin to clubbing people to death to save bullets?

The I.D.F. have stated that the easiest way to kill Hamas members is when they are at home having dinner with their families. (dinner is no longer on the menu)

The I.D.F. claims they have bombed over 60,000 locations in Gaza since October 2023. Exploding over 100,000 tons of explosives.

According to the Environmental Quality Authority, this exceeds all the explosives used in World War II. It is the equivalent of 8 nuclear bombs.

The I.D.F. have now directly killed over 54,000 Palestinians in Gaza. They claim that 20,000 of them were combatants. Using their own numbers, that means for every location targeted there is a 1 in 3 chance of killing a combatant, but almost a 100% chance of killing a non-combatant. Obviously, they have only the vaguest idea that a combatant is present at the target they bomb. (and bear in mind that many prominent members of the Israeli government have publicly stated that “there are no non-combatants in Gaza.”)

Then there are the indirect deaths caused by starvation and disease brought on by lack of sanitation and clean water, and deaths caused by lack of medicine and medical attention.

In recent conflicts, such indirect deaths range from 3 – 15 times the number of direct deaths. Applying a conservative estimate of four indirect deaths per one direct death, we can assume that at least 216,000 Palestinians in Gaza have died as a result of the war so far. This is approaching 10% of the entire population. The massacre has been going for over 600 days, making a death rate of around 300 people per day, with no end in sight.

Data documented by Euro-Med Monitor up to early July indicates that Israel has destroyed over 92 per cent of homes, fully or partially demolished more than 80 per cent of schools and 90 per cent of hospitals, and completely destroyed all universities in the Gaza Strip.

Why are you being assaulted with these gruesome facts?

It is an attempt to bring forward the moment when you say, “enough is enough.” Please don’t put off that moment until the last Palestinian in Gaza is dead!

The vast majority of people on earth desperately want the genocide to stop immediately, including 70% of Israelis. There are two men keeping it going, Donald Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu. “The two lions.”

Do we want to live in a world where two men can flout the will of billions of people? These two men, as well as Vladimir Putin, are creating a world where ‘might is right.’ All conflicts will be decided by military means.

These men will not be stopped by military means, or any other form of violence. Nor will they be stopped by any individual. They will only be stopped by the collective, coordinated action of all of the rest of humanity combined!

I suggest we physically block all goods leaving or entering Israel, except food and medicine. There are only a handful of countries that consistently support Israel unconditionally: the U.S., Britain, Australia, Germany and a few others that are bribed with trade and aid. Every other country in the world should send a ship to the Mediterranean sea to create an impenetrable peaceful blockade.

Cutting off all supplies via land is even easier, since Israel has made enemies of all its neighbors. If Israel’s few remaining collaborators in genocide continue to send arms and material support via the air, we, the rest of the world can suspend all air traffic to their countries as well. Yes, these are drastic measures, but drastic acts of extreme violence must be countered with drastic non-violent counter measures on a global scale. We are all connected together by our horror of these endless atrocities, by our shame, our anger, our frustration and our empathy. Who could bear to watch this suffering, day after day, year after year?

The entire world must act as one. This is the only way to combat extreme violence. Now is the time to create a future based on non-violence!
